Wapping Bus Gate - Decision

Mayor Lutfur Rahman announced that the Wapping Bus Gate is to remain in place in his Council meeting of the 5th October 2022.

We acknowledge and are thankful that the Mayor has listened to Wapping residents, statutory bodies and stakeholders. We would like to extend a huge thank you to all involved in asking the mayor to make this pragmatic decision.

  1. Cllr A Ullah & Cllr A Lee
  2. London Assembly member Unmesh Desai
  3. TFL for its involvement and making clear to the Mayor’s office it supported the bus gate
  4. NHS Barts Health for its support
  5. Wapping’s social media forums

And the biggest Thank You is to Wapping Residents and the community you support. Many of you have committed considerable time and energy in supporting this campaign. It is without doubt that your voices empowered the St Katharine’s and Wapping Ward Panel.

Well Done Wapping.
