have a legal duty to protect any personal information we collect from or hold about
you. We do not pass on your details to any third party unless you explicitly give us
permission to do so.
If you have submitted your email address to us through the St Katharine and Wapping Ward Panel website or by registering as under ‘Subscribe’, you may in future receive email communications from us. These communications may be sent from time to time to inform you about our events, activities and news. The information we collect
We collect data from our website for a number of reasons, primarily to provide you with the most useful and relevant information and events from the St Katharine and Wapping Ward Panel.
In some areas of our website, for example ‘contact us’ or ‘Subscribe’ you may have supplied personal data such as your name, address, telephone number and email. If you have contacted us or subscribed to the St Kathrine and Wapping Safer Neighbourhood Ward Panel mailing list you have given us your contact details so we can keep you up-to-date with relevant information. We use this mailing list to send information to you about topics primarily covering policing and crime within the St Katharine and Wapping Ward. We also use the mailing list for sharing with you information and details of activities relevant to Policing, Crime and Community Engagement and other such matters of community interest within the St Katharine and Wapping Ward. We never share personal information we hold about you in any form with third parties. The only personal information we hold about you is basic contact details (addresses, phone numbers and email addresses). We hold and process your personal data only for the purpose of providing you with information relevant to your requests.
You can ask to have your personal details deleted from our records, and be removed from our mailing list at any time by emailing: email@example.com
We do not request personal information, including but not limited to your age, sex, racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or spiritual beliefs or your physical or mental health or condition. If you supply this information then that information will not be retained. Anonymous data maybe be collected about your visit to our website (for example, the date and time of your visit and the pages that you view). This information is not connected to you personally, and is in aggregate form.
Subject access request
We will provide individuals with a copy of any information relating to them within 40 calendar days of receiving such a request. You should contact the Data Controller at the St Katharine and Wapping Ward Panel if you require this or have any queries about information we may hold about you.
Right to be forgotten
Under Article 17 of the GDPR individuals have the right to have personal data erased. This is also known as the ‘right to be forgotten’. Upon receipt of such request we will act upon the request without undue delay and at the latest within one month of receipt.
The St Katharine and Wapping Ward Panel has a small number of data controllers who watch closely and securely to facilitate the management of subscription. The policies, procedures and practices of these third-party companies are regularly reviewed to ensure compliance.
We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.
Email is the preferred channel for residents' communications as it helps minimise our operating costs allowing us to maintain an operational website.
You can choose to unsubscribe from receiving emails at any time. However, if you do so, you may miss some St Katharine and Wapping Ward Panel communications since these may not always be displayed on the web site.
This document will be reviewed at any time there is a significant change to systems/procedure and, at minimum, will be reviewed annually. The policies contained within this document represent the security responsibilities of all St Katharine and Wapping Ward Panel Members. They are to be adhered to at all times and locations whenever St Katharine and Wapping Ward Panel events are being performed.
