Police Community Weapons Sweep - 16th April 2019
The Police SNT Team will be conducting another Weapons Sweep.
We are pleased to inform you that all Police Safer Neighbourhood Teams in Tower Hamlets will now have access to metal detectors, which will undoubtedly help the Police in finding more hidden weapons and taking them off the streets.
The St Katharine and Wapping Police SNT are the first team to test it out, and would like to invite residents to there next Community Weapon Sweep to experience the fun and excitement of “treasure discovery”.
Please meet at 1800 hrs on Tuesday 16th April 2019 in Wapping Woods, close to John Rennie Walk.
They will only have one metal detector, but will require more people to assist to look for other non-metal items. Concealed drugs have been found in the past.
A full risk assessment briefing will be given.
